ADAPT
Laser-cut Vest
‘ADAPT’ aims to push the boundaries of what is considered fashion and art by engaging in an innovative approach to garment making. The garment is made from plywood and given its shape with laser cutting technology. Through precision geomerty and sine wave from, the garment takes on an entirely new structural integrity. By manipulating the inherent qualities of wooden fibres, the garment moulds to the wearer‘s body, whilst holding an element of tension. The body’s movement affects the form and function, to which the garment Adapts.
VESSEL
Eco-Dyed bags with block printing
Vessel collection is a range of handbags created with eco-dyed fabrics and block printing methods. After visiting West Bengal in India and working closely with Confetti - A Ceramics and Textiles Co-op based in Shantiniketan, I created this project which was inspired by the vessel shapes in their ceramics. The blocks were cut using a CNC and printed with screen-printing ink.
(In)Visible
Textiles surface print design
(In)Visible is an abstract exploration of our bodies on a cellular level. It brings visibility to what is invisible to the naked eye. The textiles range captures how our cellular bodies respond to virus and disease through motifs of mutation.
